Shot Put
All age groups can compete in Discus. Like with Shot Put the objective of this event is to throw the discus as far as you are able. Discus is technically more challenging but the reward is greater distance.

Long Jump
All age groups can compete in Long Jump. There is something irresistible children find about jumping through the air and landing in a sand pit. But is not just all about fun, they learn techniques to increase both their height and distance.
High Jump
Ages 10 and above are able to compete in High Jump with differing starting heights. They start with the scissor technique before going on to learn the fosbury flop.
Running events
Sprint events adjust as the children grow, age 7 to 9 start with 60 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres. Ages 10 and above are no longer required to compete in 60m as they become eligible to compete in 400 metres as well as the middle-distance events of 800 metres and 1500 metres.

Relay races are the only track and field event in which a team of runners directly compete against other teams. The team is usually made up of four runners of the same age and sex. There is the 4 x 100m for all age groups and Medley Relays for age 10 and above. The Medley consists of 5 runners who run 2 x 100m, 1 x 200m, 1 x 400m and 1 x 800m.
