Alongside this, we have a focused squad coaching option for grade 13 athletes that delves deeper into running skills, with both a x-country, road-running and speed training option available.
We have training squads available for athletes grade 14 and above over two nights per week, with more individualized programming and coaching from our experienced coaching team. With optional Sunday conditioning sessions available.
For athletes grade 15 and above, there are spaces available in our senior coaching squads, lead by the senior coaching team. Spaces in these groups are limited, so please enquire around availability.
There are X-country & road running competition option available weekends for athletes from U10 to seniors through-out the winter.
When there are no competitions on, we have winter club runs on the weekends.

Monday Night Training

Joining New Brighton Olympic for the winter season is especially worthwhile if:
-
You want to give your child good running skills and aerobic conditioning going into their summer sporting season (athletics, cricket, touch rugby – whatever).
-
You want to introduce your child to the mental toughness that makes a good tri-athlete.
-
You want to give your child something to do when rain cancels out their rugby or other team sport event (Saturday harriers is rarely cancelled).
-
You want to have some family fun (and harriers is fun – it’s got drama); you can participate as a helper, a spectator. Or, like many parents, you can put your shorts on and treat the race as a fitness run. There's no need to be a club member since the public is welcome at most harrier events – just turn up and pay the small entry fee.
